Merida Morgan

ROSSVILLE - Merida Frances Martin Morgan, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 13, 2020. She was born in Arab, Alabama to the late Lloyd & Agnes Waldrop, but had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and was a member of Cloud Springs Baptist Church. She had a passion for dancing, loved cooking, quilting, sewing and having family gatherings. She was a loving and devoted sister, grandmother and great grandmother that will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Albert “Jack” Morgan; son, James David Martin; sister, Wanda Waldrop and brothers, Rayburn Waldrop and Doyce Waldrop.

Survivors include her granddaughters, Lana & (George) Steele and Carrie & (Matthew) Phillips; 3 great grandchildren, Allie Steele, Mollie Hackney and Cole Hackney; two brothers & sister-in-law, Garlon Waldrop and Lynn & (Sarah) Waldrop; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2020 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
