Jerry Mason

ROCK SPRING — Jerry “PePaw” Mason, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of Lake Howard Baptist Church. He was an Army/Air Force veteran having served during Vietnam and was the Owner and Operator of Covered Wagon Trucking for more than 30 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #3679 and Post #95 and was also a member of the LaFayette Elk’s Lodge #2018. He had a passion for mules, covered wagons and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather that will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leverne and Juanita Mason.

Survivors include his loving wife of more than 44 years, Judy Arrington Mason; daughter, Tawana Waters; sons, James & (Renee) Baker and Terry Baker; 4 grandchildren, Amanda Mitchell, Corey Waters, Lindsey Baker and Lisa Baker; 5 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, in the LaFayette Chapel with Bro. Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
