ROCK SPRING - Jimmie Carol Brown Hollingsworth age 79, went home to be with The Lord – October 7, 2020. She was born in Menlo, Georgia to the late Gordon and Martha Hamilton Brown. She was a former employee of the Walker County Board of Education where she worked in the Cafeteria. She was a longtime member of Woodstation Baptist Church in Catlett, Georgia. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters: Bertha Barker, Syble Whitney, brothers: Robert Brown and Steve Brown. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years: Rodney Hollingsworth of Rock Spring, GA, their children: Cheryl (Thomas) Kilgore of Cleveland, TN, Bill (Cindy) Hollingsworth of Rock Spring. GA, sisters: Elizabeth Brown, Lois Adams, brother: Larry Brown all of Folkston, GA, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm prior to the service. Funeral services will be in the chapel at 1:00 pm - Saturday – October 10, 2020 with Pastors: Steve Skates and Damon Perry officiating. Burial will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens.
