Agnes Wood

Agnes Wood, 98, passed away peacefuly on Oct. 23, 2020. Agnes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of South Rossville

Baptist Church. She loved her family, church family, and friends. She was one of the most positive people you could you could meet, and she enjoyed every day. She spent her retirement

years volunteering to help the needy. She was an avid Braves fan, and also loved playing any card game.

She was preceded in death by her husband H.G. Wood; her parents Amos and Bessie

Mitchell; and numerous aunts. uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include sons, Doug (Joann) of Lookout Mtn, GA., and Mitch of Chattanooga

TN; grandsons Matt (Paula) of Richmond VA., Mitch of Chattanooga TN., Hunter of Greenville

SC.; great-grandchildren Henry and Lila of Richmond VA., and special friend Jenny Mason of Chickamauga GA.

A special thanks to the staff at NHC Ft. Oglethorpe, and Caris Hospice for their kind and loving care.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Caris Hospice, or South Rosssville Baptist Church.
