Curtis Goins

Curtis G. Goins – 85, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

He was the son of the late Mitchell and Janie Goins and was preceded in death by a brother, Delmar Goins and a sister, Nellie Matthews.

Curtis loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting when he was young. He retired from Vulcan Materials where he worked for 38 years.

He was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Goins, of Chattanooga, TN, four daughters, Diann (Mike) Jarvis, of East Ridge, TN, Karen (John) Pekala, of Ooltewah, TN, Patricia (Jeff) Morrison, of Mt. Juliet, TN, Kim (Jim) Turner, of Chattanooga, TN, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three sisters, Lois Lingerfelt, of Athens, TN, Ina Jo Johnson, of Englewood, TN, Linda (Bob) Crowden, of Athens, TN, two brothers, Larry Goins, of Athens, TN, Jerry Goins, of Madisonville, TN, and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the recent pandemic a private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Silverdale Baptist Church - Benevolence Fund, 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
