Carmon Rogers

CHICKAMAUGA - Mr. Carmon Eldon Rogers, age 75, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at his residence early Sunday morning, February 21, 2021.

Mr. Rogers was born December 26, 1945 to the late Harry Eldon and Annie Hayes Rogers. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam in the “Big Red 1” division and was retired from Bunge foods after 36 years of service. He was a “jack of all trades” including racing and race car building, woodworking, and carpentry including building their family dream home.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Rogers.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 53 years, Judy Patterson Rogers; children, Chip (Kathy) Rogers, Carl (Alexis) Rogers, and Julie Rogers; and grandchildren, Cannon, Mallory, and Ava.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Rogers will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday- February 24 at Lakewood Memory Gardens- South with Jeremy McElhaney officiating.

The family will receive friends at the graveside from 11:30 until the service time.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made in Mr. Rogers name to the Walker County Transit Service at 91 Industrial Dr, Chickamauga, GA 30707.

The Rogers family, along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current pandemic guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C.
