Jack Chandler

FT. OGLETHORPE - Jack Robert Chandler, 95, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area, spending his childhood in St. Elmo. Jack attended Anchor of Hope Baptist Church and retired from TVA. He had also worked at Mark K. Wilson Construction Company. Jack was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during WWII. He was a former City Council member, Police Commissioner, and Codes Enforcement Officer for the City of Fort Oglethorpe.

He was preceded in death by his wife Willie Hales Chandler.

Survivors include daughters Linda (Larry) Chandler Martin of Ft. Oglethorpe and Jackie (Ray) Bell of Ringgold, grandchildren Melissa Collison, Rebecca McBrayer, Chris Bell, and Jenny Beene,12 great-grandchildren, and special friend Alline Parker.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dan Mouw officiating. Interment will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
