Buck Johnson

Clay Mills “Buck” Johnson, a beloved teacher and coach who later became an award-winning sports writer, died Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the age of 93. Due to the pandemic a public service was delayed.

There will be a memorial service for Buck Johnson on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Soddy United Methodist Church. Attendees are welcome to share memories of Buck during the service. Per Holston Conference guidelines, unvaccinated attendees are requested to wear masks.
