Roberta Yates

RINGGOLD — Roberta Williams Yates, 90, passed peacefully at home on Friday evening, May 14, 2021.

Roberta was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 53 years, Ralph Edison Yates, along with her parents and several siblings.

She is survived by her four children: Mike (Beverly), Roger (Suzanne), Karen (Bobby) Small and Jeff

(Rose). She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren: Brandon (Thao), Justin (Jill), Taylor

(Andrea), Sean (Caroline), Erin, Magen, Macey, Garrett, and Emily. She was also the great

grandmother to Jasper, Hank and Genevieve.

Roberta was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she taught the Ladies’ Sunday School class for many years. She served as a volunteer of Christ Chapel Share and Care

Mission several years as well. Along with being active in several community Senior groups, she was a long-standing member in the Catoosa County Homemakers Association.

A gravesides service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in Anderson Cemetery, with

Pastor Dennis Self and Pastor Chuck Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests

donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association of Chattanooga.
