Doris Hutchins

Doris Faye Walker Hutchins, 62, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at a local health care facility. Doris attended Howard High School. She was employed at Memorial Hospital and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, John B. Walker Sr.; sister, Virginia Forrest and brothers, Fredrick and Herman Walker.Survivors include a loving mother, Thelma O. Walker; son, Jeffery (Donyell) Lebron Walker; daughter, Monica R. (Ponnie) Mastin; brothers, John B. (Rinabell) Walker, Orlando Walker, Jerry (Sylvia) Walker, Larry (Ramona) Walker and Gregory (Roslyn) Walker; sisters, Gwendolyn (Louis) Reynolds, Veronica Walker and Cheryl Walker; grandchildren, Tony, Erica, Kevion, Latrell, Latrice, Aaliyah, Corey, Kaneisha, Jaquisha, Jakira, Janiya, Amya, Shaniqua, Faydra, Adrian, Kanita and Ponnie Jr.; a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 4, at New Home Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne L. Johnson officiating. Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today with the family receiving friends from 6 7 p.m. today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
