Sherman HolderWOODSTOCK Sherman D. Holder, 71, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at his residence.He was a native of Chattanooga and had retired from Smurfit Stone after many years of service. Mr. Holder was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church in Lilburn, Ga. He was a wonderful and loving husband and father and grandfather.He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Charlotte Palmer Holder; children Sherri Lynn (Mike) Edwards Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Sandra (Lee) Wiggins, Woodstock, Ga., Suzanne (Mike) Rumph, Phenix City, Ala.; grandchildren, Andy (Molly) Edwards, Joshua Edwards, Sarah and Amanda Rump; brothers and sisters, Edna Holder Scarbrough, Ollie Mae Holder Ritchie, Virginia Holder Freels, Mary Holder Carnes and Eugene Holder.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with George Palmer, Andy Edwards and Pastor Danny Odum officiating.Interment will be 2 p.m. (EST) Ebenezer Cemetery in Bryant, Ala.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to White Oak Baptist Church, 1352 Martin Nash Road, Lilburn, GA 30047.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort with the family and view the memorial tribute.The family will receive friends from 4-6 and 7-9 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
