Jack Ensley

RINGGOLD Franklyn "Jack" Sherman Ensley, 83, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, he was a retired employee of Combustion Engineering where he worked for 41 years, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Roy and Hattie Jane Carpenter Ensley; brothers, Lyle, Lee, Crawford and William Roy Jr. Ensley; sisters, Florene Presley and Lila Mae Carlock. He is survived by his Wife of 61 years, Barbara June Scoggins Ensley of Ringgold, Ga.; daughter, Charlotte (Melvin) McGuffey, of Ringgold, Ga.; son, Steve (Donna) Ensley, of LaFayette, Ga.; two sisters, Doris (James) Lake of Ringgold, Ga., and Melba Jean (Bill) Davidson, of Ringgold, Ga.; brother, Howard (Mary) Ensley, of Ringgold, Ga.; three grandchildren, Judith Henson, Madeline Ensley and McIver Ensley; great grandson, Rowdy Henson, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Danny Henson officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 3-8 p.m. and Monday until funeral time at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, Georgia.
