Richard Winkler

LAFAYETTE Richard Alan Winkler, 56, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. He had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of his life and was a member of Community Baptist Church in Rock Spring, Ga. He was previously employed with Birmingham Hide & Tallow as a Manager and Truck Driver for more than 26 years and was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association. He loved riding motorcycles, spending time with his church family and was a man after Gods own heart. He was a loving and devoted husband and father who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Winkler and brother, Billy Loveless.Survivors include his loving wife of more than 27 years, Teresa "Terry" Winkler, of LaFayette, Ga.; mother, Frances Winkler, of Ringgold, Ga.; sons and daughter-in-law, Kreis and (Amanda) Winkler, of Chickamauga, Ga., and Adam Winkler, of LaFayette, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and (Becky) Winkler, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann and (Randy) Helms, of LaFayette, Ga., and Judy Winkler, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in the Community Baptist Church in Rock Spring with Bro. Mike Angel officiating. Burial will follow in the LaFayette Memory Gardens.The family receive friends all day Sunday and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements by W. L.
