, JASPER George E. Campbell, 78, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, July 17, 2013.The son of the late Jordan Claude and Sallie Mae Huckabee Campbell he was born in New Hope on Jan. 5, 1935.Mr. Campbell dedicated his life to Jesus in 1970. He has been a faithful soldier for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ever since.He was a retired employee of Chattanooga Glass Co. and a U.S. Army veteran.Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Joyce Smith Campbell; two sons, Randy Campbell and Chris (Kristy) Campbell; daughter, Debbie (Phillip) Rollins; brothers, Glen and Jimmy Campbell; sister, Vera Miller; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. CDT on Saturday, July 20, 2013with Brother Darrell Nunley and Brother Calvin Nunley officiating.Interment with full military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from noon until 8 p.m. CDT today, July 19, 2013.To send online condolences visit www.tatefh.comArrangements by Tate Funeral Home, LLC, Jasper, Tenn., 423-942-9500.
