Raymond Steinhauer

Raymond Paul Steinhauer, 96, of Garland, Texas, formerly of California, Mo., passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, at City Hospital at White Rock. He was born September 16, 1926, in McGirk, Mo. to John and Frieda (Huffendick) Steinhauer. Raymond graduated from California High School in 1943. He served in United States Army. In 1946 he married Bonnie Rosson. He worked for Sears and Roebuck "Buying" department and was transferred to Texas in 1978, where he worked until he retired after 48 years. He enjoyed cars, camping, traveling all around the world, Wii bowling, and having a nice beverage at the Elks Lodge, where he was a member for 40 years. For many years he oversaw the maintenance at his church. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of 75 years, along with his three children, Michael, Rae, and Kevin; his six grandchildren, Mark, Casey, Magen, Mickey, Alina, and Jakob; and his 10 great-grandchildren, Ashton, Dalton, Kamila, Malina, Angel, Sophia, Gabriella, Fernando, Aidan, and Brayden. Raymond was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Hugh Steinhauer, and one sister, Arlene Moore. Visitation will be held at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service in California, Mo., on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Russell Cobb officiating. Burial will follow at Evangelical Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Paul UCC, 6464 E.
