Robert Smith

Robert Dean “Bub” Smith of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was 55. Robert was born in Chattanooga on May 5, 1967, to Robert Gordon Smith and Wanda Sue Walls Smith. Robert was married to his wife, Andy, on July 6, 1991. He owned and operated Robert Smith, Inc. with his partners, Andrew Smith and Robert G. Smith. Robert was a member of Council Fire Golf Club and Elks Lodge #91. He loved golfing with his father, his mother’s lasagne, music and family above all. He spent many weekends strumming his guitar and singing with his daughter, Rose, as they entertained the many friends Andy and Robert welcomed into their home. His dry sense of humor was never more appreciated than on “vernacular Wednesdays” when word play and grammar were lampooned. He will be remembered most for his gentle soul and the enduring love he had for his family. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 31 years, Andy Smith, their daughter, Rose Smith and fiancé, Robert Rubino; sister, Shelley Ealy; sister-in-law, Julie Harvey; and six nephews, Rex Ealy, Gus Ealy, Ace Ealy, Tom Turner, Jeremy Turner, and Nicholas Turner. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday October 6th, 2022 at Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm with the service immediately following in the chapel.
