Officials identified 24-year-old Christopher Lake as the person who drowned Sunday in a boating accident on Chickamauga Lake.
According to Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency spokesman Dan Hicks, several boats were tied together at Paradise Cove, which is just north of Harrison Bay State Park. About 5:45 p.m., Hamilton County Sheriff's Office dispatchers received a 911 call about a drowning near those boats.
Responders used sonar to find the young man who did not resurface after swimming with friends. A local rescue diver found the body about 6:45 p.m.
