A Hamilton County grand jury has indicted Robert Erik Haggard, of Signal Mountain, on two counts of statutory rape after being presented with evidence that he had sex with two minors.

The grand jury also found Haggard, 23, used electronic communications with the minors to engage in simulated sexual behavior, and indicted him for contributing to the delinquency of both girls, who will not be named by the Times Free Press.

Haggard was booked Monday. He also was charged for violation of his probation for carrying a weapon on school grounds, possession of cocaine as well as drug paraphernalia.

Separately, he is also charged with child endangerment for neglect or abuse resulting in physical injury to his 8-year-old child.
