The Hamilton County Detention Center should provide transportation to a central point in the city for its releases. I have seen several released inmates walking along Standifer Gap Road at all hours day and night. You can tell they are inmates because they are carrying their belongings in a clear plastic bag.
This is a safety issue! Could Hamilton County be responsible for the medical expenses of a released inmate injured while walking along Standifer Gap Road?
