Suspect in Bailey Avenue road rage shooting identified

Chattanooga police have identified the suspect in Thursday's Bailey Avenue shooting.

The suspect, 29-year-old Christopher Bell, got into an accident with the victim, a 50-year-old man, in a parking lot prior to the shooting.

Bell followed the victim out of the parking lot and shot him while both were traveling in the 1000 block of Bailey Avenue, according to a news release.

The victim, who has not been identified, was transported to a local hospital.

Warrants have been obtained for Bell's arrest. He is charged with attempted criminal homicide and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
