Hundreds of motorcycles and cars blocked off Lee Highway today for a motorcade to honor those who died in the recent Chattanooga shootings.
The initial leg of the motorcade blocked off Lee Highway about 15 minutes.
The event was organized by the Christian Motorcyclists Association. It met at Sportsman's Warehouse, directly across the street from the site of the first shooting Thursday.
"It's just a time to show respect for the fallen soldiers," said Chris Evans, a biker from Cleveland. He heard about the event on social media. "You can't overlook that. Shouldn't overlook that."
The motorcade will also visit the site on Amnicola Highway where the second shooting took place. A man with a megaphone, who addressed the people before it began, asked the riders not to go over 45 miles an hour out of respect for those fallen.
