Chattanooga police arrest suspect in Fourth Avenue shooting that injured woman earlier this month

Officers arrested a suspect Thursday in the Dec. 7 shooting on Fourth Avenue that injured a 26-year-old woman, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.

Lontiasha Burress, 24, is charged with attempted criminal homicide, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and reckless endangerment.

Burress is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
