Chattanooga Police need help locating a vehicle involved in a fatal accident

The Chattanooga Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a vehicle involved in a fatal accident on Christmas Eve.

Police said they are looking for a vehicle described as a light-colored Ford F-150, model year 2004-2008, with a possible camper top and driver side damage, according to a news release. The vehicle allegedly struck a cyclist around 12:34 a.m. on Friday.

The 57-year-old cyclist was traveling eastbound in the second lane of Interstate 24 when a vehicle struck the man and left. Chattanooga police responded to the crash near Exit 181 and Old Ringgold Road. Hamilton County EMS was called to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
