Tennessee got off to an understandably slow start in college football's 2022 recruiting cycle due to the coaching change from Jeremy Pruitt to Josh Heupel this past January, but things have picked up heading into next week's early signing period.

The Volunteers on Friday afternoon received a nonbinding commitment from four-star receiver Kaleb Webb out of McEachern High School in the Atlanta suburb of Powder Springs. The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder had been committed to East Carolina before opening up his recruitment, and he received scholarship offers in recent weeks from Michigan and Ole Miss in addition to Tennessee.

Webb is the nation's No. 48 receiver and No. 312 prospect overall in the 247Sports.com composite rankings. He is Tennessee's third highest-ranked commitment, trailing only offensive lineman Addison Nichols (No. 123) of Greater Atlanta Christian and quarterback Tayven Jackson (No. 210) of Greenwood, Indiana.

Tennessee now has 19 commitments and is 16th in the 247Sports team rankings.
