Christian Gil, 29, reportedly shot and killed Jessica Smith, 25, and their daughter in their home on North Moore Road, according to a preliminary investigation by police. Investigators said he likely then killed himself.

"It appears they were in a domestic relationship and both were parents of the child," Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Victor Miller said in an email.

Police responded to the home around 8:40 p.m. March 1 after friends and family reported finding all three dead inside.

Officers found the three unresponsive in the home, and they were pronounced dead on scene.

All three had been living together at the home, according to police.
