Lee University President Mark Walker announced his resignation in a meeting with faculty and staff Monday, according to a news release from the school.
Walker's last day will be May 5, the date of graduation. He first started at Lee in 2017 as vice president.
"My wife Udella and I have enjoyed our four years in this role," he said in the statement, "but after lots of prayer and reflection, we are confident that our time as president is now complete."
